New Calendar/Map Interface, and some Other New Things

Hello! Have been doing some behind-the-scenes work on few things. Finally getting out of ahead of the backlog that I got myself into with this year's (utterly delightful and worth-it) Wiscon.

First off, gadgety thing, I've added an integrated calendar/map, so you can see both where and when things are happening. Used Chad Norwood's GCM project for this.

It occurs to me that this is now 3 dimensional, BUT IT SKIPS ONE (being only height, width, & time). Classic Sci-Fi's "Time Machine" discussion has me thusly predisposed. You can also find a link to this map on the Upcoming Events & Groups pages.

And speaking of Upcoming Events & Groups:

• Added the Vaginal Fantasy (& related group Chicago Paranormal Romance) books & meetups.
• LOTS of new events added to the calendar, including a number of one-off SF/F discussions at various libraries--might be a group forming near you!
• From The Beyond Con is an (independent?) SF/F & Horror film festival, taking place next weekend.
• Also next weekend, don't forget about the Chicago Nerds/Open Books Sherlock 101 Panel.
• A little later this month, mark your calendars for Wizard World Comic Con.
• And also the Paragon Play Festival: 40 sf/f plays in two days.
